# VOM

Multi-tenant business management product used by a company and its users to run sales, purchases, accounting, and related operations.

## Language

**Payment receipt**:
A customer or supplier payment document that records money received from or paid to a party and the journal entry that posts that movement.

**Superseded journal entry**:
The original journal entry posted when a payment receipt was first saved. After the receipt is edited, the receipt no longer links to this entry, but the entry remains live in the ledger.

**Revert journal entry**:
An inverse journal entry created during the old receipt edit flow to cancel a superseded entry. It is not linked to any payment receipt.

**Current journal entry**:
The journal entry a payment receipt links to today — the posting that reflects the receipt's present amount, date, and accounts.

**Receipt wreckage group**:
The leftover journal entries from one payment receipt's edit history that can be retired together: the superseded entry and, when one exists, its matching revert entry. The current journal entry is not part of the group.

**Standalone orphan**:
A journal entry with no payment receipt link, typically left behind by a failed receipt create. It is not anchored to a receipt and is not a receipt wreckage group.

### Tenant shell

**Group**:
A collapsible parent in the tenant sidebar that contains child navigation items.
_Avoid_: section

**Child**:
A navigation item nested under a Group.
_Avoid_: subitem, submenu item
## Sales estimates

**Estimate**:
A sales price quotation offered to a customer before invoicing. Domain statuses are expired, active, planned, and invoiced.
_Avoid_: Quotation (except in Arabic UI copy عرض سعر / عرض), quote document as a separate entity, Draft as a domain status

**Pre-persist draft**:
The unsaved create-form UI state shown before an estimate is written to the database. It is presentation-only, not an `EstimateStatusEnum` value.
_Avoid_: Draft status, save as draft (as a domain action)

**Estimate form**:
The create, edit, and clone screens for an estimate. The create screen is the layout reference and first ship target; edit and clone may follow after create is proven.
_Avoid_: Quotation canvas as a separate product surface, three divergent layouts as the lasting standard, treating exploratory mock screens as the layout contract
